Yesterday was a great day. Great but tiring.

It started off with me waking up (shocking, I know) and getting ready to go to White Rock with Josh. I packed us a picnic.... sandwiches, salads, cookies, water... nothing crazy but it was a lot of fun.

We drove down to the beach and ate our lunch. Followed it up with some ice cream and a walk along the pier. After we had seen all the sights we headed back to Abbotsford for my cousin's son's first birthday! His name is Carter
and he is spectacular. Josh and I got him some of our favorite Dr. Seuss books: Hop on Pop and the ABC book... it's our subtle way of encouraging him to learn english. Hahaha. At the party we got to see a butt load of family members and it was very nice.

Afterwards we headed to our friends house for a black, white and gray party. Everyone had to dress in black, white, or a shade of gray BUT all the food had to be brightly colored. It was a good night full of dancing, laughing, playing games and acting silly. By the time I got home I was pooped. I was sleeping as soon as my head touched my pillow.

In other news: I am slowly gathering things to decorate my future home. My mom and I went to Rona where I got 2 big black and white pictures on canvas... one of lilies (my favorite flower) and one of this really cool building. I can not wait to decorate my home.

Also, Josh booked out fabulous honeymoon. We are going to Canon Beach and our hotel/bed and breakfasty place looks OUTSTANDING. I've never stayed in such a gorgeous room. I can't wait!

Wow, what a weekend. I mean, I haven't been so busy and wedding crazed in... well I've never been so busy and wedding crazed.

My busy weekend started last Wednesday night and won't end until tomorrow evening when I complete my final exam... math... eek!!

Amanda (my sister) arrived at the Abbotsford airport and the madness began. We stayed up late opening a multitude of gifts she brought me (books, fudge, a miracle hair straightener, cards) and watching mtv.ca shows.

On Thursday we went with her sister in law and nephew to the zoo... I'll be putting pictures up on my facebook so you can check em out there! BUT here is a sneak peek video of my sister trying to scare a camel...

After the zoo I honestly can't remember what we did... so I'll skip to Friday.

Friday showed up and I went to my Philosophy exam. Afterwards Amanda and I headed into Langley for some Pho with our Uncle Herb, Cousin Josh and Jan... Yan... hmm...
Then we went to my dress fitting! I would post pictures but Josh isn't allowed to see them so I can't.

On Saturday I headed into Vancouver with my Amanda (maid of honor) and bridesmaids (Jenni and Courtney). We bought bridesmaid dresses and I got wedding shoes and some fancy wedding underpants. The guys of the wedding met us at Moxies where we had dinner and headed to an improv show on Granville Island. It was a hoot.

Sunday showed up and I finally got to relax. Josh and I spent the morning sitting in bed watching Gilmore Girls. It was glorious. When 4 o'clock hit we headed to our wedding shower which was INSANE. There were so many people. I wanted to spend time with all of them but barely got to slip in a hello. I really appreciated it though... I love all of our family and friends. And the mountain of gifts we got... wowee zowee.. I never would have dreamed that I would see so many things.

I spent yesterday studying and filling out thank you cards after work. I only got about seven cards done... YIKES. And then Josh and I watched "Lars and the Real Girl." I thought it would be funny but it was strangely sad. I was pretty wiped out so I fell asleep around 9 or 9:30 and Josh left around then too.

Today I wrote my english exam and tomorrow I have math so I'm going to spend a lot of time studying up. I'll try to put up a ton of pictures very soon so you can see how much fun my life is.

My friend Jordan Raine is talented when it comes to music. He can play guitar as well as a number of other instruments with amazing precision. He also has a natural talent for writing music. Yesterday Josh and I got the chance to go into Vancouver and see a piece of music he composed be performed by some professional musicians. It was written for cello, flute and piano and it was outstanding.

Since we were going to Vancouver for the night we decided to just leave early and make a day of it. We headed to American Apparel where Josh bought me a wonderful light zip-up hoodie for the upcoming summer. Our friends (Truman, Derrick, Sam and Jordan) bought a number of goodies as well. Afterwards we headed to Urban Outfitters and then to Chapters. My main goal was to get to Chapters so I could get the book "America: The Book" by Jon Stewart along with "Cash" by Johnny Cash.

It turns out that going into Vancouver without a set plan of what to do is a bad idea. Originally Josh and I were going to go to Stanley Park but our group grew and became more reckless and adventuresome so it was difficult to agree on one idea and we ended up just going to Pacific Center and looking around.

In Pacific Center there is a "Bose" electronics store which the boys just had to go in to. Once in, the most typically Asian salesman decided to sell us each a $4500 sound system. He shuffled us into a miniature theater where we watched a short film about the Bose sound system. Half way through this little Asian man entered the room and started interacting with the film. It was one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen. After the movie he told us that we must be wondering what this system would be like in our living rooms so we have to follow him! We were quickly ushered into a fake living room where we had to hear about the wonders of the Bose. I have to say we were all quite impressed and if any of us had an extra $4500 it would've been spent on a Bose. Unfortunately we are all college students and ended up just getting a free pen out of the deal.

That was my day in Vancouver. I'll post pictures when Jordan sends them to me. I have to go get ready for work now. Bye!

Yesterday I wrote my final exam for foreign film studies. It went fine... I'm slightly bummed to not watch a new foreign film every week but at least I have a huge list of wicked films that I can watch in the future.

Anyhoo, after my exam I came home to a deserted house. Eventually my mom came home and she came straight into my room and told me that she had an early birthday present for me!! (This would've been completely normal... except for the fact that my birthday is at the end of August.) She gave me a box and when I saw the picture on the front I flipped out. It was a clock and a radio that I can hook my ipod onto so this morning when my alarm went off it slowly faded into Great Lake Swimmers on my ipod! Wicked. I will never wake up to the shrill BEEP BEEP BEEP of an alarm clock again.

Josh came over and after tinkering with my new toy for a while we headed to Castle Fun Park for some coral sea adventure golf. I thought we were meeting up with a couple of friends but in the end our group was ten rowdy college kids and it took about three times longer to complete each hole. Oh well, in the end we had quite the good time. The strangest thing to happen was that on the ride home Josh's car started to smell like french fries. We hadn't had french fries for at least a week and we were no where near a resteraunt. After he dropped me off I had a dream about eating french fries. It was good.

Word on the street is that blogging is the new "hip" thing to do. Especially for all those young(ish) married couples out there. I've been thinking long and hard and have come to the conclusion that I should jump on the band wagon before I get left in the dust. So here we go.... a blog.

I used to have a blog, by the way, but that was before it was cool. No one read it except some strangers and that wasn't much fun. Anyway, I hope the results are better here with all my family members and some of my acquaintances.

Want to catch up on my life? That sounds fun... let's do that! I'm going to school to become an elementary school teacher. Hopefully grade one. That was my favorite grade so I've decided to just go back and stay there forever. I just finished my second semester of college. I actually have an exam today at 2 o'clock, that should be interesting. Other than school I'm also working at an auto parts delivery store in Abbotsford. I drive around, listen to my ipod, and once in a while drop off a car part at a mechanics shop. It's a pretty sweet set up. I'm also working on getting married. The date is July 12th and it seems like it's coming up quickly. I've got it all figured out, now I just need to put it into action. When my sister gets here from Three Hills we're going to meet with my wedding planner and then everything should get into motion.

I didn't realize how tiring this whole life-schedule has made me until this morning. Last night I decided to take a nap and ended up sleeping for 13 hours. I woke up this morning completely stunned. I hope I've now caught up on sleep completely... if not I have some real sleep-problems to deal with!

I should probably tell you about my future husband, yes? His name is Joshua Lewis Clark and he lives 5 minutes from my house. I call him Josh. We met at a birthday party on August 31st (I think) 2007. Originally I didn't want to go to the party. I'm glad I did. We started dating about 2 weeks after we met. He is pretty much exactly like me.... well.... we do have our differences but for the most part we're fairly similar. He is wonderful and fun, very funny and incredibly sweet. You should meet him if you haven't yet.

Lastly I want to share this wicked website that I recently stumbled upon. It is www.mixwit.com and you can make "mix tapes" on it and post them on blogs or facebook or e-mail them to people, whateves. I love it. I miss cassette tapes. Check it out and send it to your spouse (I know you have one... pretty much everyone who blogs does.)
